Careers in the Army offer financial support through school and university

After National Careers Week, you may be considering your potential path to a successful future, including university. The costs of higher education can be daunting, but the Army has many ways to help students get the funding they need.

With over 70 different job roles, there are opportunities for learning and development for everyone in the Army, including degree-level qualifications before or during a career.

To find out more about university funding, the Army is hosting a live webinar on 31st March at 6pm. Book your place for free below.

What is an Army Bursary?

A bursary is the funding the Army gives to students to cover university fees. You can watch our new video to discover all our funding opportunities.

To apply for a bursary students need to join the Army through the online application process. With the Army, you could receive:

Medical bursaries up to £75,000

Undergraduate bursaries up to £25,000

Bursaries for music students up to £27,000

Fully funded degrees – for those starting officer training as a non-graduate

“The Medical Bursary has been amazing for me. I was in a much better financial position leaving the Army than my NHS colleagues. If you are thinking about a career in medicine or healthcare, doing it with the Army is much more beneficial.”
Amelia, Medical Bursary, Junior Doctor
