Green Skills Broadcasts

As part of the build up towards Green Skills week, next month, the Speakers for School organisation is offering two online presentations this week, focused on green skills, the climate and future careers. These talks, presented by two influential global figures – Steve Backshall MBE and Dr. Rhian Thomas OBE, should interest anyone concerned with the environment and sustainability.

Dr. Rhian-Mari Thomas OBE, CEO, Green Finance Institute

Join us for a broadcast with Dr Rhian-Mari Thomas OBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Green Finance Institute. Rhian was formerly the Global Head of Green Banking and the founder and chair of Barclays Green Banking Council, which has developed and launched Barclays’ suite of green finance products and services. Rhian will be speaking about what Green Banking is and the work that is being done to build a resilient and low carbon economy.

 In April, Speakers for Schools will be announcing more Green Skills Week live broadcasts in their upcoming broadcasts page and weekly schedules, including speakers from: The Science Museum, Peers for the Planet, WRAP and the Bank of England. Anyone is able to join the broadcasts by clicking the links at the appropriate times.
