Environmental Protection Team, North Somerset Council Year 10 Three Days Work Experience (1st - 3rd June)




Following the success of its previous two virtual work experience opportunities North Somerset Council are offering another opportunity during this coming school holiday. The work will focus on the council's Environment Protection Team.

The Environmental Protection Team delivers services for the benefit of those that live, work and visit North Somerset. This includes investigating noise and nuisance issues, dog control, pest control and air quality monitoring.

Your days will be structured and supervised to deliver a meaningful experience.
  • Day 1: Introduction to the council, followed by a focus on skills development.
  • Day 2: A ‘day in the life’, where you’ll have an opportunity to work on a real-life task.
  • Day 3: Presenting the outcome of your task to the Environmental Protection Team and an opportunity to get useful feedback.
