Muslim MDV (medics, dentist and vets) Society at the University of Bristol are arranging an open event to all students interested in applying to medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine and is also aimed particularly at students from a widening participation background such as low-income students, students from state schools, BAME and Muslim students.
This event will consist of an informative talk from medical, dental and Vet Med students from the University of Bristol explaining their journey to the courses they are studying and talking about their experience at university as BAME/Muslim students. The aim is to provide students with insight into what their day-to-day may look like and the social and professional opportunities open to them whilst they are studying at Bristol.
The event will also have a guest speaker coming in to give an informative talk about 'An Introduction to the UCAT'. This speaker has lots of experience in running sessions and events for students applying to Medicine so it will be a very beneficial talk to attend to receive some insight into the UCAT too!
There will be a Q&A section for students to ask questions about university life, and the courses mentioned above on personal experiences from students first-hand. This will be an amazing opportunity for students to take advantage in asking any individual questions they may have. It is open to students in years 10 and above, including those taking gap years and those who have already applied and are awaiting offers, etc. Parents are welcome to come along and ask any questions or just to find out more about these courses in general.
